BBC BEAUTY ACADEMY
At BBC Beauty Academy, we help students pursue their love for beauty. We offer several different beauty programs so students can learn what they’re most passionate about, whether that’s hair, skin, or nails. If you’re interested in applying for one of our programs, here are the next steps you can take.
HOW TO ENROLL
Comprehensive Hands on Training
Here’s an overview of the enrollment process:

Explore our programs to determine what you may be most interested in learning. We have a lot to choose from, including cosmetology, Natural Hair Braider, and more!

Schedule a tour of our campus. This step isn’t required, but it’s highly recommended, so you can see if our school can help you meet your goals.

Fill out our Pre-enrollment form. Once you do this, you’ll be emailed the school catalog, an overview of the program you’re interested in, and a link to the online application.

Fill out the online application. Once you do this, you’ll be emailed directions to send your enrollment documents to the enrollment officer.

Email your enrollment documents to the enrollment officer.

Schedule a zoom interview with the enrollment officer. Once accepted, we’ll figure out a time for you to come in and fill out an enrollment contract. Submit the enrollment contract along with the non-refundable $100 registration fee to secure your seat in class.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Before you submit an application, there are some important requirements to keep in mind. The admission requirements vary depending on the program you choose, so look over the information below that pertains to the program you’re interested in.

Requirements for our cosmetology, esthetic, and hair braiding programs:

You must be at least 16 years old

Provide a copy of your state/federal issued photo ID

Provide a copy of your high school diploma, GED, or home school diploma approved by the US Department of Education

Complete the student application

Complete the enrollment contract and pay the registration fee of $100

COVID-19 VACCINATION POLICY
As of August 21st in alignment with the CDC and City and State regulations, students are not required to be vaccinated to attend Queen Beauty Institute.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
In order to graduate from BBC Beauty Academy, students must:

Pass with at least an 75% attendance and academic average

Complete all the required hours of training

Complete all the curriculum requirements

Fulfill all financial obligations to the school

After graduating and receiving a diploma from our school, graduates must sit for the State Board of Cosmetology Examination to earn their license. Then, they can legally provide beauty services to clients.
TRANSFER STUDENT POLICY
​
We accept transfer students at BBC Beauty Academy. Students may receive credit for all or some of the clock hours they previously earned at another beauty school. There is important information to note about transfer hours, based on Pennsylvania’s requirements.
The Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology states that the hours are considered expired if it has been more than four years since the first date that the student started accumulating clock hours. If the student’s hours are expired, they will be required to start their training over again.
To transfer previously earned clock hours to our school, students must provide a copy of their transcript and progress report. It’s the student’s responsibility to request their transfer of hours and obtain the required documentation.
We evaluate and accept transfer hours on an individual basis. Transfer students may be required to take tests (both theoretical and practical) to more accurately assess their knowledge and skill level.
